Cíes Islands, The Islands of the Gods!

Have you ever visited Cíes Islands?

Well, what are you waiting for? The Cíes Islands (Galicia, Spain) are the Vigo estuary’s greatest treasure: an amazing national marine-terrestrial park which is why the Romans named them the islands of the gods. According to The Guardian, Cíes Island have the best beach in the world.

Cíes Island is ideal for hiking or for a getaway in desert beaches with crystalline waters.

If you want to experience the wild nature and observe the unique flora and fauna you have four walking routes in the Cíes Islands: The Faro Mountain route (7 km), The A Porta Lighthouse Route (5 km), The Alto del Príncipe Route (3 km) and The Agudo Mountain route (5,5 km).

The only way to access the Cíes is by sea. In summer and Easter, there are several shipping companies based in the port of Vigo that carry out daily boat tours to the Cíes. These ferries will take you straight to the islands. The Cíes have a limit of 2,200 visitors a day.

Oh, be careful with the seagulls. They attack you if you have food or try to invade their territory.
